Communication Support Worker for Deaf Child
Full-time: 32.5 hours per week(Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 15:45) Term Time Only plus 5 staff development days.
This is a fixed term contract attached to a named child and will be reviewed annually with their placement and funding.

Why be a Communication Support Worker
This role will require a caring and supporting individual that can support a deaf child access learning inside and outside of the classroom. We can offer on-the-job training for candidates without the necessary qualifications or experience.
Are you:
1. ideally trained to British Sign Language (BSL) level 2 or above; but not essential, as we can offer on-the-job training
2. passionate, fun and creative;
3. caring, committed and motivated for yourself and others;
4. experienced working with children (although this is not essential);
5. adaptable with a can-do attitude;
6. great at working in a team with initiative to work independently to support children in achieving their best;
7. literate and numerate with exam passes to evidence this;
8. able to establish supportive, caring and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem and a positive, inclusive whole school ethos;
9. able to lead intervention groups in order to support learning or any emotional, social or behavioural needs of any children.
