Job Title: Plumber (Social Housing - Repairs & Gas Works)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,500 - £37,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to work on a social housing contract, delivering high-quality day-to-day repairs and maintenance. The role will primarily involve general plumbing works (approximately 80%), with a smaller proportion of gas-related tasks (approximately 20%), carried out in occupied residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out day-to-day plumbing repairs and maintenance in social housing properties
2. Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently and safely
3. Undertake basic gas works including cap-offs and drop-downs (where appropriately qualified)
4. Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
5. Provide a professional, customer-focused service to tenants
6. Accurately complete job records and compliance paperwork
Requirements:
7. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
8. Domestic Gas qualification and Gas Safe registration
9. Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs
10. Experience working within social housing or occupied properties (desirable)
