Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Contract: 12-Month Temporary Contract (from mid-August 2025)
Rate: £375–£400 per day (Outside IR35)
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a high-quality residential development project on a freelance basis. This 12-month contract role is Outside IR35 and offers consistent, long-term work with a reputable team.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will take ownership of key commercial responsibilities on a live site, ensuring cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and successful delivery of multiple subcontract packages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages
* Preparation and submission of valuations and cost reports
* Variations and change control
* Subcontractor account management and final accounts
* Working closely with site teams and commercial leads
* Reporting on cost-to-complete and monthly forecasts
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or mixed-use developments
* Strong knowledge of JCT contract administration
* Ability to manage packages and reporting independently
* Degree qualified or equivalent (Quantity Surveying or related field)
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Site-based experience preferred
