Job Overview
This role will be central to the provision of Fibroscan. The post holder will be an integral member of the Hepatology team, responsible for managing a delegated Fibroscan caseload. This includes running independent clinics, contributing to patient assessment, and providing tailored diet and lifestyle advice. Working closely with the hepatology nursing team, the post holder will support high-quality care for patients with, or at risk of, liver disease.
Fibroscan (transient elastography) is a non-invasive investigation used to measure liver stiffness. This is a key diagnostic tool for patients with or at risk of having liver disease.
Main duties of the job
* To participate in the delivery of high-quality patient focused care within Hepatology.
* To provide a high quality and efficient Fibroscan service (training will be provided).
* To work independently, running Fibroscan, completing adequate documentation.
* To input patient data into the Hepatology Nurse Specialist Fibroscan database and help with data collection for Quality and Improvement Projects.
* To work in accordance with trust policies and procedures and operate within the boundaries of the role and sphere of assessed competencies.

Experience

* Experience in Health Care setting
* Experience with Epic, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

* Previous experience in a similar post

* Ability to travel between Frimley Park Hospital, Aldershot Centre for Health and Heatherwood Hospital.
