Overview

CNWL Addictions directorate are proud to be recruiting for a new Children and Young Peoples (CYP) Health and Wellbeing Service for Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster called Re:start. We are committed to supporting children and young people (CYP) who experience difficulties in relation to substance use. This role is to work as a member of CYP service within the Boroughs, including partnership working, networking and attending relevant meetings/events.


Position Details

Please state in your application whether you are applying for the 0.6WTE permanent role, 0.6WTE fixed term contract (maternity cover) or willing to be considered for either.


Responsibilities

* Deliver educational awareness in CYP settings (e.g. schools, colleges, community venues through workshops, assemblies).
* Deliver bespoke training for those in contact with CYP (e.g. teachers, foster carers, parents, social care).
* Oversee and work effectively and in partnership with all relevant key partners within the Boroughs, networking and establishing links where appropriate.
* Use specialist knowledge and skills in substance use and supporting young people to undertake assessment, care planning, implement and evaluate treatment delivered to young people. Complete high-quality reports for young people in relation to schooling, children and family services, CAMHS etc.
* Plan, organise and deliver individual and group work interventions for young people in suitable locations.
* Act as keyworker to a defined allocated caseload of clients, under the supervision of a designated manager within the team.
* Ensure that the delivery of care and management of this client group complies with expected standards and follows policies and procedures.
* Work closely with organisations and services that support or work with children and young people, their family, carers and schools.
* Link voluntary sector organisations and the local public health team to deliver preventative health and wellbeing support to children and young people.
* Signpost to appropriate services that can meet the needs of CYP and co‑design workshops, interventions and solutions with CYP, organisations, schools, parents, family and carers to support CYP wellbeing.
* Develop workshops and sessions that address CYP needs, supporting culturally sensitive offers and improving accessibility of existing services.
* Conduct outreach, identify health and wellbeing needs in communities, support the development of services in response, and seek the community voice to address concerns around the needs of children and young people.


Qualifications and Skills

* Good communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities, ability to listen to others’ views, and respect and value individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
