Responsibilities
1. Drive and promote a proactive HSE culture through leading by example, cultural engagement, data utilization, awareness raising, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned (registration and implementation).
2. Demonstrate and promote data-driven risk management via a proactive reporting culture and high-quality data management.
3. Support the development, implementation, and use of Ørsted systems, procedures, instructions, and HSE documentation.
4. Manage HSE systems and processes, including global/local emergency response and crisis management.
5. Conduct audits and compliance checks against ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 55001).
6. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, safety walks, inspections, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, and cultural programs.
7. Review HSE documentation, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
8. Monitor and assess HSE performance and compliance using Ørsted incident reporting tools (Synergi).
9. Coordinate safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and report findings and lessons learned.
10. Liaise effectively with contractors to enhance safety, health, and environmental culture.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Proficiency in English.
* Relevant academic or technical background.
* 3-5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in onshore renewables or offshore wind farm construction.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* IT literacy; familiarity with Synergi is an advantage.
* Knowledge of root cause analysis and incident investigation.
* Experience working with third-party contractors on HSE issues.
* NEBOSH Level 3 or equivalent HSE qualification.
* Valid site safety passport (CCNSG or CSCS).
* Clean UK driver’s license.
* Desirable: QHSE BSc or diploma, NEBOSH or IEMA environmental qualifications, auditor certification, experience in delivering training.
Work Conditions
The role is initially onshore at Humberside airport, with offshore work commencing later, requiring flexibility for offshore visits and occasional overseas travel.
Work Pattern
Initially Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, with potential offshore stays once construction begins.
