Role: Workshop Support Engineer
Contract: Permanent, 45-hour week
Salary: £32,812 - £34,178
Location: Revived Equipment (Briggs Equipment)
As a Workshop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting engineers with maintenance tasks, including jet washing machines
* Supporting the transport department with driving duties as needed
* Liaising with the Workshop Supervisor and engineers to prioritize waste disposal (e.g., waste oil, scrap metal, emptying wheelie bins, contaminated waste)
* Supporting workshop repairs and general maintenance alongside Workshop Engineers
* Recording meter readings and informing the workshop office
* Coordinating with the admin team to ensure timely diesel orders
* De-icing pathways and car parks during winter to maintain safety
* Keeping workshop aisles clean, including operating ride-on cleaning machines
* Part-time driving to deliver and collect parts
* Maintaining spill kits and all health and safety equipment in the workshop
* Recognizing safety concerns related to customers or engineers and reporting them to your line manager or safety team
As a Workshop Support Engineer, you should demonstrate:
* Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering
* Essential understanding of environmental and waste management practices
* A flexible approach to work
* A valid driving license (not essential)
* Knowledge of health and safety practices
