What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Ombudsman Compliance Lead REF: 000A 97FE / 1 Pay rate: £20.32 per hour (PAYE) Location: Pitsea Postcode: SS13 3DU Job type: Hybrid Role length: 4-month assignment Hours: 35 hours per week Contract Type: Temporary The role: Our client is seeking an Ombudsman Compliance Lead to manage all interactions with the Housing Ombudsman, ensuring full compliance with determinations and regulatory standards. This role is vital in maintaining accountability, strengthening complaint-handling processes, and ensuring that all Ombudsman-related actions are delivered accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for the Housing Ombudsman, coordinating requests for information and ensuring full compliance with determinations. Ensure organisational adherence to the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code. Track, monitor, and report on Ombudsman determinations, ensuring timely implementation of required actions. Work collaboratively with Complaint Investigators and internal teams to support the resolution of complaints escalated to the Ombudsman. Maintain accurate audit-ready records of all Ombudsman interactions. What the client is looking for: Experience: Proven experience in a compliance, complaints, or contact centre–based role. Experience within social housing or public-sector services (desirable). Skills & Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication across phone and digital platforms. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet SLAs. Competent with CRM systems and contact centre tools (e.g., Genesys). Solid understanding of compliance principles and regulatory standards. Strong knowledge of the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.
