Managing Quantity Surveyor
Industrial & Logistics Projects | Southern Region
An established, forward-thinking main contractor is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of major industrial and logistics developments across the southern region, covering projects in the South.
This role will suit a commercially astute professional with strong experience in industrial units, warehouses and large-scale shed projects, capable of managing teams and driving commercial performance across multiple sites in the South of England.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall commercial responsibility for multiple industrial and logistics projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Leading, mentoring and managing Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams on site
* Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, CVRs and cashflows
* Managing subcontract procurement, contract administration, valuations and payments
* Identifying and managing commercial risk, opportunity and value engineering initiatives
* Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain to ensure successful project delivery
* Supporting senior management with commercial reporting and strategic input
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
* Strong background in industrial, logistics or large-scale commercial developments
* Experience delivering steel frame, industrial shed and infrastructure-heavy projects
* Excellent leadership, communication and commercial management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects across a wide geographic region
* Relevant construction or commercial qualification (or equivalent experience)
