Job Summary:
Beyond Earlston is seeking two passionate Youth Workers to support vulnerable children transitioning from primary to secondary school. This is a relationship-focused role offering consistent, nurturing support across school, home, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored transition programmes for small groups (1–3 young people).
* Build trusting relationships and provide consistent adult presence.
* Facilitate engaging activities like nature visits, swimming, and creative outings.
* Collaborate with families, schools, and partner agencies.
* Monitor progress and contribute to team development.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children and young people facing barriers.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility across settings and commitment to safeguarding.
* Driving licence and access to a car required.
Desirable:
* Qualifications in youth work, social work, or education.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
* Experience in outdoor or community-based learning.
Additional Info:
* Evening and holiday work may be required.
* Advanced Child Protection Certificate and references needed.
