About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may show someone how to use a walking frame, help someone at the end of life to eat a meal, or talk to a resident’s family on the phone, always with kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication. A key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, recognising good record keeping, managing your time effectively, and communicating with residents or co‑workers with consideration and kindness.
We are committed to safeguarding; all colleagues attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You will have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
About HC-One
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
