Description
Our client is a dynamic and growing company with a based in Bath.
They are seeking an experienced, hands-on IT specialist to oversee operational IT and projects, focused on infrastructure modernisation and Cloud adoption. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day IT function while proactively developing systems and solutions that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
1. Manage and develop IT infrastructure, systems, and applications across the business.
2. Lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and manage migration projects.
3. Provide regular IT performance, risk, and roadmap reports to senior management.
4. Collaborate with group leads on ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) enhancements and support.
Security and Compliance
5. Collaborate with the global Cybersecurity Lead to ensure data integrity and security compliance.
6. Assist in achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.
7. Develop and enforce IT policies on data handling, access control, and security awareness.
8. Maintain and test a robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
9. Explore and drive adoption of AI tools (e.g. Microsoft CoPilot) to enhance productivity.
10. Identify and evaluate emerging industry tools and trends for potential adoption.
11. Support automation and digital transformation projects in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Essential Experience & Skills:
12. Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in: Microsoft Dynamics or comparable ERP systems, Cloud technologies (Azure preferred) Networking, server management, backups, cybersecurity principles
13. Track record of successfully leading IT change or transformation projects.
14. Experience leading IT support functions, ideally including 1st Line Support.
15. Familiarity with IT governance, compliance standards, and certifications.
