Field Technician | Water Utility Surveyor (Digital)

Start your career in the water industry. As a field technician for Aqualogic, you will begin your journey at foundation level, gaining an understanding of the clean water supply, which is fundamental to human health. Water scarcity, caused by population growth and climate change, has meant that there is significant opportunity to progress within the Water Sector.
The role will commence by being supported by the use of Aqualogic’s unique smart leak detection systems, designed to allow personnel to rapidly commence with assisting our clients reduce water leaks and losses on their networks. Over time and with added skills, experience and certification, you will be presented with progression or diversification opportunities within Aqualogic, its contract partners or indeed our client.
Water Utility Surveyor (Digital) – Wales & South West of England
As a Water Utility Surveyor, you will be expected to collect field data as part of our unique digital surveying leakage methodology. You will work as part of a regional team using state-of-the-art digital technology to survey network fittings. The data you collect will tell the leakage teams where they need to go and investigate further. Your work will help them focus on what is urgent so they can fix any leaks quickly.
You will be expected to maintain a consistent high-level of performance, ensuring daily targets of data capture are achieved without compromise on quality. The role would suit a self-motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen interest in environmental conservation and a focus on customer service and teamwork.
Responsibilities
* Learn to use the digital equipment we will supply you with to record acoustic sound files across the water network.
* Work independently in urban and rural environments
* Be professional, remembering you represent both Aqualogic & the client at all times.
* Work to achieve set performance indicators.
* Assist to improve processes, procedures, and productivity.
Additional information
* You must have the manual dexterity to use hand tools.
* You must be comfortable with the use of digital technology (mobile phones/tablets).
* You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers, sometimes covering up to several km’s of walking per day.
* You must be prepared to travel to various sites throughout the client region.
