Assistant Sports Manager – Slough – 21k basic + Bonus
My client is an award‑winning lettings solution provider. They run various lettings on behalf of schools and local authorities across the UK and invest in developing their staff.
Role Overview
The assistant sports manager will be based in Slough. The salary is around 21k plus an annual performance‑based bonus.
Key Responsibilities
* Make facility lettings bookings, deal with enquiries and follow up potential leads.
* Market facilities, maximise usage and income, find new business using social media, meetings, emails, internet searches, local newspapers, community venues and other centres.
* Create and distribute weekly staff rotas and lettings planners.
* Day‑to‑day manage school leisure assistants ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Carry out day‑to‑day administrative tasks: emails, calls, invoicing, information distribution.
* Interview and appoint sport and leisure staff; deliver inductions, training and appraisals.
* Carry out regular quality checks and monitoring procedures, often during evenings and weekends.
* Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
* Assist in developing comprehensive community lettings programmes for partner schools.
* Assist with facilitating projects and events at partner schools during lettings periods.
* Regularly travel between several school sites and meetings.
* Manage a combination of office‑based and home‑working.
* Achieve targets and objectives set by the line manager.
* Prepare for and attend regular performance meetings.
* Perform other duties as deemed suitable by the company directors.
Requirements / Profile
We are looking for a candidate who is already in a managerial role or possesses strong managerial qualities.
Must be skilled in sales and have excellent communication skills.
