Job summary
As the Equity & Inclusion Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Equity & Inclusion Team, coordinating resources and ensuring the smooth delivery of impactful initiatives across the organisation. Your leadership will drive our Strategic Equality Objectives and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect.
In this role, you'll empower staff at all levels through engaging training and awareness programmes, equipping them to embed equity and inclusion in their work. You'll serve as a key advisor on equality legislation, supporting managers to create fair, welcoming environments for colleagues and service users.
As a collaborative leader, you'll build strong relationships across departments, working with staff networks, senior leaders, and external partners to achieve our inclusion goals. Main duties of the job
1. Lead development and delivery of EDI training programs: Design and implement workshops that deepen understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across the organisation, ensuring practical skills are gained to promote behavioural change and compliance with EDI standards.
2. Support implementation of Strategic Equality Objectives: Assist in developing and executing the organisation’s Strategic Equality Objectives and Plan, ensuring commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion are met.
3. Facilitate learning and awareness initiatives: Enable teams to access and engage with learning opportunities, building understanding of EDI principles.
4. Ensure legislative compliance: Monitor and support adherence to relevant equality and human rights legislation, fostering a culture of fairness and inclusion.
Basic Welsh language conversational skills are desirable. The ability to speak Welsh is advantageous; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
