bPower BI Developer role at SSP UK & Ireland
As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for creating, designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and datasets using multiple data sources, enabling stakeholders to make informed, data‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Create new Power BI reports and dashboards and enhance the existing suite to meet evolving business needs.
* Ensure reports are accurate, intuitive, and aligned with finance and wider business requirements.
* Integrate data from multiple sources to deliver comprehensive and insightful reporting solutions.
* Support the creation and ongoing management of Datamarts and Lakehouses, ensuring the finance team and other users have access to reliable data for analysis and reporting.
* Work closely with the finance team and key stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective reporting solutions.
* Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to ensure seamless data integration, strong data quality, and efficient data pipelines.
* Optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval.
* Maintain clear and thorough documentation covering report development processes, data sources, and data models.

Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven proficiency in Power BI report and dataset development
* Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query
* Experience with data modelling tools and techniques
* Good understanding of data visualisation best practices
* Experience working within Agile teams
* A proactive, can‑do attitude, thriving in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment
* Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer‑facing communication skills
* A passion for using data to solve business problems and create new opportunities
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience working within a large retail organisation
* Experience working with multiple data sources
* Knowledge of SQL and other database technologies
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word
