Estates Electrical Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as our Electrical Engineering Manager and ensure that our Trust is electrically safe for our patients, staff, and visitors.
If successful, you will work in collaboration with the Estates Operations Manager to ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance carried out by the department is appropriately prioritized and that the department's reactive, planned, and overdue work performance meets the KPI targets set by the Trust's Board of Directors.
You will be a key communicator of complex technical and safety advice to a wide range of groups, including department colleagues, other Trust staff, contractors, patients, and the public, especially in emergency situations.

Main duties of the job
As our Electrical Engineering Manager, you will be required to:
* Conduct technical review meetings with specialist engineering contractors to monitor service delivery, ensure contractual performance standards are met, and value for money (VFM) is provided.
* Perform duties of the Authorised Person (AP) for Medical Gas Systems, including issuing permits to work in accordance with HTM 02.
* Perform duties of the AP for Low/High Voltage (LV/HV) electrical safety systems, including issuing permits to work as defined in HTM 06.
* Participate in the On-Call rota for Estates Managers, providing advice or on-site attendance as needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* An approved apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
* ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering plus relevant practical experience, or HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering plus relevant practical experience, or an equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, current electrical/mechanical/building services legislation.
