Your future challenge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planner – E/I and Automation, reporting to the E/I and Automation Manager.
To succeed in this role
1. Setting priorities using the required date field on work orders
2. Scoping and planning work orders including risk assessments, work tasks, work task steps, material requisitions for parts and purchase requisitions
3. Developing work task templates for the quality of work planning and execution
4. Check for new work orders with a status of ‘observed’ (could be ‘Under preparation’)
5. Promotion of work order workflow
6. Visit site to scope new work orders/work tasks
7. Detailed work planning
8. Coordinate work tasks between disciplines
9. Competence within discipline
10. Supporting contractor control including inductions and competence audits
Required level of competence and qualities:
11. Educated to HNC level (or equivalent in a technical discipline) preferred
12. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (EI based)
13. IOSH managing safely preferred
14. Excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering
15. Good knowledge of plant processes and equipment
16. Computer literate with working knowledge of ‘Windows Office’ suite
17. Excellent knowledge of plant management systems
18. Must be self-motivated, be able to work using their own initiative
