Salary range: £12.22 to £14.50 per hour basic salary – Depending on experience

Weekly rotating shift pattern:
* 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday
* 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 6pm on a Friday
* During training, hours will be 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm on Friday
Quality Print Guaranteed
The KBA printing machine operator supports the KBA Lead Operator in inspecting and managing the printing machine to ensure high-quality production.
Responsibilities include understanding various printing job needs, assessing big format printing requirements, and organizing job sequences.
Tasks involve loading printing materials, adjusting for size, setting inking mechanisms, and establishing printing quality by adjusting ink distribution, speed, and temperature.
Operators must inspect all printed materials for errors, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure machinery is in good condition, arranging repairs or ordering supplies as needed.
What are you going to do
* Support and operate the KBA Offset Print machine for food packaging to meet quality standards
* Prepare pallets or solid boards for printing, loading and unloading
* Assist the Lead in maximizing output and quality
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, registration, and clarity in printing
* Clean equipment between orders and daily, including rollers, heads, and ink buckets
* Monitor and fine-tune machine speeds to maintain efficiency
* Participate in routine maintenance and support other process lines like die cutters, folder gluers, and laminators
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and teamwork
* Show knowledge of color matching, Pantone charts, and produce top-quality boards
* Possess experience in the packaging industry and machine operation; forklift license is advantageous
