* Salary: £26,402 - £28,142 pro rata
* Hours: 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (7am - 10am)
* Contract: Permanent. Required as soon as possible

We are looking for a well organised, flexible and reliable person to join our premises team as Caretaker. Reporting to the premises manager you will be responsible for caretaking tasks within the school. Experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are happy to provide training.
You will have:

* the ability to keep accurate records
* the ability to work flexibly to suit school needs

* use time effectively to ensure all spaces are ready for learning.
Main responsibilities and duties include:
* key holder for the school, unlocking the premises daily
* handyperson duties which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures
* minor decorating tasks
* completing legal statutory checks including fire alarms, water and temperature checks
* taking electricity and water meter readings regularly
* emptying bins and accepting deliveries
* ensuring the external areas of the school are kept tidy by sweeping leaves, picking up litter and carrying out maintenance when necessary
* signing in and out contractors correctly
* adhere to the health and safety policy at the school at all times.
