Responsibilities
* Working alongside a team of technical experts and design professionals
* Producing Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
* Undertaking site visits, analysing/interpreting relevant data, and producing technical documents (including reports, etc.)
* Using the appropriate software packages (including MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, etc.) to inform and produce designs and other technical documents
* Working with AutoCAD to produce conceptual drainage system designs
* Liaising with a range of clients and stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
* A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a cognate discipline
* Experience of winning projects and contributing to Business Development (BD)
* Extensive experience of working in a drainage and flood risk role, within a UK-based consultancy setting
* Demonstrable experience of producing Drainage Strategies and authoring Flood Risk Assessments
* Proficient in the use of a variety of relevant software systems, including MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, TUFLOW, etc.
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software systems
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Possess a full, valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills and Experience
* A keen interest in actively working to attain Chartered Status
* An understanding of relevant policy, procedures, and regulatory processes within the industry
* Good knowledge of hydraulic modelling
