The role involves line managing the Tenant Engagement Specialist and overseeing the Tenant Voice Pathway, including core groups and structured engagement opportunities. You will maintain awareness of the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard and support responses to the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023. A key part of the role is guiding staff to work effectively with tenant volunteers while embedding the Tenant Engagement Strategy across the organisation.
You will be responsible for delivering engagement events, consultations, and outreach to resident associations and sheltered schemes. The role also includes managing and monitoring tenant voice impact data, performing quality checks, and centralising information for both internal and external sharing. Ensuring that engagement processes and policies accurately reflect team activity, managing KPI processes, and linking engagement work to measurable outcomes—including Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs)—are also key responsibilities.
We have a dedicated team at Red Kite that supports employees in learning and development, and this role requires essential experience in tenant engagement with knowledge of regulatory expectations. Desirable experience includes working within the Social Housing Sector and line management. You should have a strong understanding of engagement legislation and best practice, along with proven ability to manage teams and drive strategic outcomes. Skills in data collection, analysis, and impact reporting are important, as is confidence in leading scrutiny reviews and verification processes. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working with diverse groups and building strong relationships across teams.
