This school has Academy status and is part of The Gosforth Group; the employer will be the Multi Academy Trust. Great Park Academy, Primrose Lane, Great Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE13 9FR.

We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader in Mathematics to join our team at Great Park Academy. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious and inspiring professional who can lead the development of outstanding teaching and learning within the Mathematics department.

You will take strategic responsibility for raising achievement and progress in Mathematics across the academy. This includes leading curriculum development, implementing effective assessment strategies, and ensuring high-quality teaching practice. You will line‑manage and motivate a team of dedicated staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that drives excellence.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to whole‑school priorities and play an active role in shaping the future of the academy. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student outcomes and to lead a department that is central to our vision of academic success.

* Expertise in curriculum development and assessment strategies within Mathematics
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
* A creative, innovative approach to teaching and learning, with a commitment to continuous improvement
* Excellent knowledge of current developments and best practice in Mathematics education
* Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and parents
* Resilience, adaptability and a positive attitude towards change and challenge
* A reflective practitioner with enthusiasm, drive and a sense of humour
* Qualified Teacher Status and a good relevant degree
