The Company
We’re working with a highly respected Tier 2 Main Contractor with a long-standing reputation for quality and reliability across the South East. The business delivers a diverse range of new build and refurbishment projects up to £20m, spanning the residential, commercial, education, and leisure sectors.
With continued growth and a strong pipeline across Oxford, Reading, and the surrounding areas, the company is now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple projects, leading all financial, contractual, and cost management aspects. You’ll report directly to the Commercial Director and play a key role in driving project profitability, value, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial management of new build and refurbishment projects up to £20m
*
Oversee cost planning, tendering, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration
*
Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and cost control
*
Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
About You
*
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
*
Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts
*
Background across residential, commercial, education, or leisure sectors
*
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail
*
Confident communicator, capable of leading projects commercially from start to finish
*
Based within commuting distance of Oxford or Reading
