Job summary: You will assist in the operational management of MHCL while supporting the team clinical leads, working pro‑actively with the operational lead to ensure safe and effective delivery of services and relevant developments. You will support safe and effective management of all operations in the teams and work closely with the Operations lead to develop the teams in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives, consulting all key stakeholders and positively reinforcing the expectations of the organization through collaborative and dynamic management and leadership that is supportive and encouraging, enabling the team to adapt to key changes smoothly.
Main Duties
* Lead on improving the quality and performance of the teams through QI projects.
* Improve experience of care by effectively delivering services to support users, carers and partner organisations.
* Improve population health outcomes by leading the team with holistic assessments.
* Improve staff experiences: timely rota finalisation, leading team and business meetings, facilitating away days, ensuring the team takes annual leave as per policy.
* Improve value of service and increase efficiency.
* Assist the operational manager to ensure that the physical environment is conducive to delivering a high quality of care.
* Support with audits and data collection.
* Maintain clinical direction and leadership; coordinate a team of clinical staff for the continuous and consistent provision of high‑quality mental health care to people in crisis.
* Carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes and the setting of standards of care for clients of the service.
* Demonstrate within the team clinical leadership and knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions to reduce distress for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis.
* Act as a role model in the practice area, encouraging staff in teaching, supervision, facilitation and assessment; create and sustain a supportive/teaching/learning environment for the practice setting.
* Be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients, incorporating risk assessment, to ensure safe and acceptable standards of care.
* Be responsible for the maintenance and accurate recording of patient information in the documentation systems and for the effective dissemination of patient information throughout the multi‑disciplinary team.
