The Role
As a PSV Chargehand, you will support the Engineering Manager in ensuring the depot fleet is maintained to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
10. Servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with Arriva and DVSA standards
11. Supporting continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
12. MOT preparation and quality compliance checks
13. Planned preventative maintenance campaigns
14. Vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification
15. Ensuring all maintenance exceeds DVSA requirements and meets Arriva’s high standards
16. Promoting safe working practices and compliance with Health & Safety legislation
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
17. Level 3 NVQ / IRTEC qualification (or equivalent)
18. Knowledge of PSV or HGV maintenance
19. Strong understanding of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
20. Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
Desirable:
21. Experience inspecting vehicles for scheduled maintenance
22. Knowledge of electrical circuits and systems
