In this role, you will teach a diverse range of design, engineering, and technological concepts, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for the future. Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Design Technology lessons that meet curriculum requirements. Teach students the fundamentals of design, technology, and engineering processes, including CAD, electronics, and materials. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement. Support students' practical work and project-based learning. Requirements for Design Technology Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching Design Technology at school level. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to inspire students in creative and technical subjects. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
