At NHS Highland, we have two full-time vacancies within our Estates Department for Project Managers within the Capital Planning Team for NHS Highland.
The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic and motivated team player able to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure delivery targets are met.
Candidates should have project management experience and knowledge of Scottish Technical Healthcare memorandum's, a current UK driving licence, and a recognised qualification as detailed in the job description.

The department is primarily focused on delivering the capital investment plan for NHS Highland. The role will focus on the efficient and professional programme management of the Investment Programme.
The role will involve close working with operational and clinical stakeholders, external stakeholders, and senior management to deliver the investment programme. This is a highly complex programme, requiring the planning and management of multiple infrastructure investment projects within occupied premises across a wide geographical area, while ensuring service delivery is not adversely impacted.
It necessitates the ability and confidence to effectively navigate the health and social care environment and manage stakeholders both internally and externally, ensuring services can continue to operate alongside improvement works. It requires knowledge of infrastructure systems and project delivery contractual and procurement processes, in addition to health and safety legislation.
The postholder will bring significant expertise and discipline relating to how the programme of work should be planned, structured, and delivered to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently, and that the identified and agreed milestones are delivered or flagged through a clear and robust governance process.
The Programme Manager will oversee and manage the work of one or more project managers as required, in addition to managing the work of multiple external consultants and contractors.
The postholder will demonstrate a methodical and structured approach along with extensive programme management skills and experience of delivering within equivalent project environments across the full project lifecycle.
