Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Atherton

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a vibrant and nurturing primary school in the Atherton area, who are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team for the remainder of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a supportive and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the progress and wellbeing of pupils across the school.
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
* Previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting is essential.
* A patient and professional manner with strong communication skills.
* A flexible and proactive approach to supporting both staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons across the curriculum.
* Work with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives and develop key skills.
* Provide additional help and encouragement to pupils who may need extra support.
* Prepare and organise learning materials and resources to aid classroom activities.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging good behaviour and active participation.
* Assist with classroom displays and ensure the learning environment remains safe and stimulating.
