Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Spilsby Salary: £89 - £100 per day (Depending on experience) Start: Immediate Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Do you have the resilience, empathy, and determination to support students who need guidance the most? An inclusive and specialist SEN school in Spilsby is seeking a confident and committed Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural challenges. This role involves working closely with pupils who may display complex behaviour due to underlying social, emotional, or mental health needs. Responsibilities: Provide targeted 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students with SEN. Implement behaviour intervention strategies and personalised support plans. Build positive, trusting relationships with students to foster engagement and emotional regulation. Support pupils in developing social skills, self-confidence, and coping mechanisms. Work alongside teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Maintain accurate records of progress and behavioural incidents. Promote a calm, safe, and respectful school environment at all times. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural difficulties or SEN. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques. Calm, patient, and consistent approach in challenging situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport and inspire trust with vulnerable students. Previous experience in a school, alternative provision, youth work, or care setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
