Duties and Responsibilities
:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
2. Perform material and soil tests, documenting findings to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
3. Evaluate and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
4. Monitor construction activities to identify potential quality issues and work with project managers and subcontractors to address them promptly
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities, inspection reports, and test results
6. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on quality control activities and address any questions or concerns.
Requirements:
7. High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in construction technology, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus).
8. Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and machinery.
9. Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
10. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
11. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
15. Valid G2 Driver’s License
16. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.
17. Ability to work in outdoor environments.
18. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Considered an Asset:
19. Certification in Civil/Construction Engineering
20. Proven experience as a Quality Control Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
21. Experience with construction quality control software and testing tools.

Wage Range:
The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $25.00 and $27.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
