Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Northampton) Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE) Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Contract: Full-time, Permanent About Us We are recruiting for a registered manager for a small, nurturing children’s residential home based in the Northampton area, providing high-quality care and support for up to two young people aged 11–16 with social, emotional and behavioural needs (SEMH). The Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our home and team of 5 dedicated staff members. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance in line with Ofsted regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead, support, and develop a motivated staff team. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015. Promote a child-centred culture of care, safety, and positive outcomes. Manage the day-to-day running of the home, including rotas, budgets, and staff supervision. Work closely with external professionals, families, and local authorities. Prepare for and respond to Ofsted inspections, maintaining high quality and consistent practice. About You Hold (or working towards) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). At least 2 years’ experience in a senior or managerial role within a children’s residential setting. Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A commitment to making a real difference in the lives of young people.
