Cleaner Manor Abbey School About the School Manor Abbey School will be a provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and resulting challenging behaviours. The new school opened in Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent in September 2024. There was an initial intake of up to 30 pupils across year 7 and 8. The school will then progressively fill over 4 years until it reaches its capacity of 70 places. About the Role We are looking for a cleaner who will provide efficient and effective cleaning support to the school, including that the cleaning and general appearance of the buildings in accordance with the required standards. The successful candidates will Compassion and understanding, and has strong desire to provide students with the very best learning environments Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning The ability to work under own initiative without supervision An awareness of the importance of providing a quality service Experience of COSHH regulations within an Educational establishment, this is not essential as training will be provided. An awareness of the importance of hygiene in the work place Good understanding and ability to use specialist equipment/resources.
