Job Title: Psychotherapist Contract Type: Full time, permanent Working Hours : 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £40,000 (Dependant on experience) Location: Head office in Blackpool with travel across North West Nurturing today for a brighter tomorrow We’re seeking a dedicated and skilled children’s psychotherapist to join our growing in-house Therapy Service at Therapeutic Care. If you have a strong background in supporting children and adolescents impacted by trauma, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You’ll work within a supportive team of highly skilled and experienced psychotherapists and psychologists, working together to support the delivery of therapeutic care. This will include working closely and collaboratively with our incredible managers and practitioner teams help shape a trauma-responsive environment that builds safety and connection for our young people. Your Role As a children’s psychotherapist, you will: • Provide consultation, training and support to our practitioner teams and managers in the delivery of our therapeutic model of care. • Help teams understand children’s behaviours, offering insight and training to enhance their practice. • Provide one-on-one therapy for children, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs. • Work within a supportive team of highly skilled and experienced psychotherapists and psychologists. • Complete meaningful assessments, therapeutic formulations and progress reports to ensure our care is tailored to the individual needs of our young people. • Operate flexibly, with time spent at our Blackpool Head Office, in children’s homes across the North West, with occasional working from home. What We’re Looking For We need someone with: • Substantial experience working directly with children in a counselling or psychological capacity. • UKCP/BACP registration and Level 4 (or higher) counselling qualification. • A compassionate, authentic and approachable team player. • Deep knowledge of trauma and attachment theories, and an ability to apply them to practice. • Strong understanding of legislation and safeguarding practices within residential childcare. • Exceptional communication and IT skills, alongside proficiency in record-keeping. • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
