Responsibilities
* Provide strategic commercial and contractual support
* Lead pre- and post-contract duties across various models
* Collaborate with clients and contractors to drive performance
* Ensure compliance with governance procedures
* Share best practices and support continuous improvement
* Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth
* Drive strategic initiatives that align with business objectives
* Engage with stakeholders at executive level to build strong relationships
* Lead complex, high-value contract negotiations
* Oversee governance and risk management across multiple projects
* Deliver accurate performance and financial reporting to support decision-making
* Champion innovation and implement best practice solutions
* Represent BTTC at industry forums and contribute to thought leadership
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree: Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Professional Membership: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or MCICES (Member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors), or actively working towards accreditation.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and NEC contract frameworks.
* Leadership: Proven line management experience, including team development and performance management.
* Coaching & Development: Demonstrated ability and desire to coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
* Project Delivery: Experience managing complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
