Job Description Associate / Senior Associate – Corporate Solicitor (5 PQE) Salary: £75,000–£95,000 bonus | Location: Buckinghamshire (3–4 days office) A corporate role with proper quality work, local lifestyle, and a clear route to partnership If you’re a Corporate Solicitor with 5 years’ PQE who enjoys running deals end-to-end and wants to be part of a high-performing boutique team (without the daily London commute), this is a standout opportunity. The role You’ll handle a broad range of corporate matters and play a key part in driving transactions forward. Key responsibilities Running corporate transactions from instruction through to completion Advising on and drafting key corporate documentation Managing deal timetables and coordinating input from relevant parties Supporting business development and strengthening intermediary relationships Helping to mentor and develop junior members of the team Typical work includes Company sales and acquisitions Investments and restructurings (including demergers and capital reductions) Shareholder and regulatory matters Shareholder agreements, LLP agreements and related corporate governance What our client is looking for Essential Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales 5 years’ PQE in Corporate law (strong UK practice experience) Experience handling corporate transactions including M&A and related advisory work Confidence negotiating with counterparties (including larger City/regional firms) Strong drafting skills and attention to detail A commercial, proactive mindset with a genuine interest in clients’ businesses Desirable Exposure to deals up to c. £40m (and leading smaller deals independently) Experience with EMI schemes and/or other HMRC-approved share schemes Experience with secured lending and loan/security documentation Existing contacts in corporate finance (helpful, not required) Working arrangement and location Buckinghamshire office base Expectation of 3–4 days per week in the office (with some flexibility depending on circumstances and performance once established) This role will suit candidates who can commute sustainably (living 2–3 hours away is unlikely to be workable) Salary and benefits £75,000–£95,000 basic salary (depending on experience) Bonus scheme that rewards contribution and effort Clear progression pathway with a realistic route towards partnership for the right person High-quality work with a strong client base (including international and high-growth businesses) Modern systems and efficient processes to reduce admin and keep lawyers focused on client work Supportive, team-led environment with an emphasis on quality and professionalism Family-friendly culture with a genuine focus on work/life balance Interested?
