BBC Studios' Entertainment Unit in Bristol is looking for a Production Coordinator to join one of BBC's flagship programmes - Countryfile. This established primetime series films across the UK with a large team, and this role offers hybrid working (minimum three days per week in the Bristol office) and will be a freelancer PAYE contract. Limited location work required. The successful candidate will need to be available to start in Mid‑July.
As a Production Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the production, working closely with the JPM, Line Producer and editorial colleagues in a busy, deadline‑driven environment. You’ll confidently manage filming logistics, locations, and filming budgets for teams travelling across the UK, ensuring shoots run smoothly and efficiently. With a large team and high volume of filming throughout the year, we’re looking for someone who can anticipate challenges, think on their feet, and bring strong problem‑solving skills when plans change.
Key Responsibilities & Criteria
* At least one year’s experience as a Production Coordinator.
* Excellent logistical and organization skills.
* Ability to remain calm and solutions‑focused in a deadline‑driven environment.
* Experience setting up UK‑based shoots, ensuring compliance.
* Confident in managing and forecasting budgets and contributing to scheduling.
* Understanding of copyrights & clearances processes, with the ability to elevate issues when required.
* A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
* Commitment to supporting sustainability initiatives and helping Countryfile deliver on its environmental ambitions.
* Proactive in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, escalating concerns when needed.
* Demonstrate an understanding of post‑production processes.
