The Role
As the Network Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in a wide range of networking technologies.
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the network security baseline and other tasks such as vulnerability management, threat detection and monitoring, incident response and security control implementation.
1. Developing and enhance Network and Cyber Security baselines
2. Implementing Cyber Security tooling
3. Assisting with business-as-usual network configuration
4. Performing gap analysis on systems and services
5. Maintaining baselines of endpoints and servers
6. Working across Linux and Microsoft Technology stacks
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with up to 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Network Security Engineer
7. An understanding of security architecture required within compartmented certified environments.
8. Knowledge of JSP, and relevant BS EN standards.
9. Experience in a Network Security role.
10. Experience of ICT systems in complexed environments.
11. Experience creating, maintaining, and cataloguing Configuration Management documentation.
Qualifications for the Network Security Engineer
12. Experience with Network Security supported by a relevant certificate/ qualification.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. You may be required to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance once in post.
