Role Details:
The Project Manager reports to the Senior Project Manager and is responsible for delivering onshore electrical infrastructure across the full project lifecycle.
The role involves leading project teams to plan, manage and deliver capital projects within a complex operational environment while maintaining programme timelines and operational capability.
Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver at pace are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical systems.
* Lead project teams and coordinate stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Administer NEC4 contracts, monitoring contractor performance (cost, quality, time) and managing change.
* Manage project budgets, financial reporting and forecasting.
* Support project assurance and gateway reviews.
* Monitor project schedules, milestones and progress.
* Manage project risks and implement change control processes.
* Ensure compliance with agreed processes and infrastructure procedures.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
* SC clearance and ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in consultancy or construction delivery, including 5+ years in management.
* Experience delivering infrastructure projects within the built environment.
* Strong commercial awareness and experience challenging contractor compensation events (CEs).
* Experience managing NEC4 contracts and stakeholders.
* Strong IT skills and membership of a relevant professional body.
* Experience with frequency converters.
Desirable:
* Experience in complex live or regulated operational environments.
* Collaborative working approach with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
* Knowledge of Primavera P6 and CEMAR (or similar).
* Nuclear awareness training (e.g. NIC).
