Job Title – Head of Sales/Sales Director
Salary - £90k plus benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales to lead, manage, develop, and recruit the organisation’s Sales Team, as well as manage client relationships with current and potential clients.
Responsibilities include:
1. Defining and implementing strategies to improve business opportunities aligned with the company’s goals.
2. Leading the Sales team through direct management, ensuring pricing accuracy, margin improvement, and process development for both Major Works and Service & Repair teams.
3. Developing new client bases for tendering major and prestigious projects across the UK.
4. Managing team activities and personnel, including performance reviews, to meet KPIs and targets.
5. Creating and executing a marketing strategy to enhance the Group’s reputation and market knowledge.
6. Serving as the primary contact for key client accounts, developing opportunities within existing clients, increasing share of wallet, and attracting new clients to enhance profitability.
7. Participating in the Senior Management Team, attending monthly meetings, and reporting on progress and resource needs.
8. Collaborating with the CEO and COO to set and evaluate annual sales targets.
9. Developing sales campaigns, defining market needs, potential returns, margins, and processes.
10. Monitoring and evaluating sales team performance against set targets.
11. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, industry standards, and policies, fostering a culture of compliance and development.
12. Managing the tender process, including preparation, pricing, RFI submissions, and document improvements for Service & Repair and Major Works.
13. Analyzing current portfolios to identify loss-making contracts, margin improvement opportunities, and gaps.
14. Supporting internal handovers between Major Works and Service teams to ensure seamless client transitions and maintain profitability.
15. Building and nurturing relationships with new clients for sustainable growth.
16. Designing and implementing a client onboarding process, including critical path mapping and training on client portals.
17. Reviewing and improving current contracts for better business protection, with legal and managerial approval.
18. Assisting in defining CRM system requirements to enhance sales tracking, reporting, and pipeline management.
