PositionSummary
Ourclient is seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager (BDM),specifically for the Data Centre vertical market, to strengthen their presence acrossthe EMEA region. You will be pivotal in growing the organisation’s data centresecurity portfolio. This will be achieved by targeting regional accounts,securing new business, and building strategic partnerships across the region.This is a high-impact role, ideal for a hunter who excels atrelationship-building, negotiating master service agreements (MSAs), anddelivering results in a fast-paced environment.
KeyResponsibilities
·Develop and executestrategic plans - createa tailored business plan and sales strategy to meet ambitious regional salestargets, focusing on acquiring new EMEA-based data centre accounts
·Drive new business - target data centreoperators and hyperscale clients in industries like Technology, CloudComputing, and Telecommunications; initiate at least five MSA negotiationsannually for solutions like CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and fireprevention
·Collaborate regionally- partnerwith regional Account Managers, the SES “Deal Desk” team, and product partnersto deliver customised physical security solutions, from proposal phase through toimplementation phase
·Forecast and report - provide accuratemonthly and annual sales forecasts to the VP of Sales EMEA and Data CentreDirector; align forecasting to achieve significant growth in EMEA data centrebookings by 2030
·Represent the organisation- delivercompelling presentations, manage pre-qualification and tender submissions, andbuild lasting relationships with data centre clients across EMEA
·Travel with purpose - travel across EMEAto connect with clients, embodying the organisation’s ‘regional expertise, localservice’ ethos
SkillsRequired
·Communication and influence- exceptionalverbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability toinfluence stakeholders and deliver impactful presentations
·Energy and drive - a highly energetic,self-motivated team player who thrives under pressure and is passionate aboutexceeding targets
·Analytical mindset - strong financial andanalytical skills to address challenges, evaluate opportunities, and maximiseprofitability
·Tech savviness - proficiency inphysical security systems and solutions, with knowledge of data centre securityrequirements, is a distinct advantage
·Mobility - willingness totravel regularly within the EMEA region
ExperienceRequired
·Proven experience - at least two years ofexperience selling physical security solutions ( CCTV, access control,intrusion detection, fire prevention) to end-user accounts, ideally in the DataCentre or Critical Infrastructure sector
·Negotiation and bid expertise- strongnegotiation skills and experience in bid writing; a talent for crafting winningproposals and estimates.
Educationand Certifications
·A degree inEngineering, Security Technology, or a related field is a bonus point
·Industry-specificcertifications ( PSP, CPP, or data centre security) are bonus points
Thisrole is flexible within the EMEA region and requires regular regional travel. Formobility, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
