Legal Secretary – Private Client
Location: Leigh (Greater Manchester)
Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
The Opportunity
Aspion are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and personable Legal Secretary to join a busy and well-established Private Client team based in Leigh.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who is looking to build a long‑term career within a supportive legal environment.
You will be working closely with experienced fee‑earners, supporting across a wide range of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Trusts, and Estate Administration.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a client‑focused environment, where attention to detail and professionalism are key.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a key role in supporting the team with a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, including:
* Providing high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee‑earners
* Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents, correspondence, and reports
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
* Handling telephone enquiries and communicating with clients in a professional and compassionate manner
* Opening, closing, and maintaining client files in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements
* Audio and copy typing, including preparation of letters, forms, and legal documentation
* Liaising with external agencies, courts, and third parties where required
* Supporting with general administration including filing, scanning, post management, and document organisation
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience within a Legal Secretary / Legal Admin role (Private Client experience highly desirable)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
* A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office systems
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
