Job Title: Pre-Construction Manager (Building Safety & Façade)
Pre-Construction Manager – Dartford – £75,000–£80,000 Package
Our client, a progressive main contractor based in Dartford, is looking to appoint an experienced Pre-Construction Manager with a strong background in social housing, building safety regulations, and cladding/façade remediation works to join their growing pre-construction division.
With a significant pipeline of refurbishment, fire remediation, and façade upgrade schemes, this newly established division has been created to strengthen their front-end capability and ensure full compliance under the latest Building Safety Act and associated regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute individual to lead projects from bid stage through to site commencement, before handing over to the delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre-construction activities across social housing refurbishment, cladding remediation, and façade projects.
Ensure full compliance with current Building Safety Regulations, Gateway processes, and fire safety requirements.
Manage tender submissions, cost planning, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
Coordinate with design consultants, fire engineers, façade specialists, and client representatives.
Provide technical input on cladding systems, façade remediation strategies, and compliance documentation.
Oversee programme development and pre-start planning prior to handover to delivery teams.
Contribute to the development of robust pre-construction processes within a growing division.Candidate Requirements
Strong background in pre-construction within social housing refurbishment or regeneration.
Proven experience working on cladding, façade remediation, or fire safety upgrade projects.
In-depth understanding of the Building Safety Act, BSR requirements, Gateway submissions, and compliance frameworks.
Strong commercial awareness, including cost planning, risk management, and procurement strategy.
Confident liaising with housing associations, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
Ability to lead bids and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
Proactive and capable of helping shape a developing pre-construction function.Salary & Benefits
