The appointment will be for a post in Latin American economic history of the twentieth century, with an emphasis on financial history. We are interested in applications from those specialising in any aspect of twentieth century Latin American history, with strengths in financial history. The successful candidate will be contributing to core courses on capitalism and teach a specialist Level 3 module on ‘Democracy and Authoritarianism in Latin America’s Twentieth Century’, as well as contribute to other UG and PGT teaching as assigned. They will have close alliances with teaching groups in economic history and history of the Global South in the department. We are a highly successful Department ranked 5th in REF 2021 (GPA 3.5) with a strong record of attracting external research funding.
