Senior Sous Chef | Glasgow Central Area | Full Time

The Role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development, aiming to bring out the best in your team while driving restaurant performance and delivering exceptional results.

What You Need To Do |

* Create a positive environment where your team feels valued and supported, celebrating successes and nurturing talent.
* Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and safety, and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
* Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labour costs, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
* Foster a coaching culture, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, and supporting personal and professional growth within your team.
* Be a proactive problem solver, capable of quick thinking and decisive action.

What We Look For |

* Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a focus on performance and positive behavior in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to have genuine conversations, ensuring your team feels heard and supported.
* Excellent standards in food safety and hygiene.
* Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock management.
* Experience managing labour costs and adapting to changing demands.
* Leadership qualities that inspire and engage teams, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
* Forward-thinking with problem-solving abilities and quick decision-making skills.
