Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias (Multi-Skilled)
Salary: £43,050 + overtime (OTE significantly higher)
Shift Pattern: Double Days – 44 hours per week

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias. This role would suit a Level 3 qualified, multi-skilled engineer with experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and performance.
The Role
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy industrial plant, machinery and site facilities
2. Support preventative maintenance schedules to maximise uptime, performance and product quality
3. Diagnose and repair electrical faults while supporting mechanical maintenance where required
4. Work safely and collaboratively with production and engineering teams
5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
6. Play a key role in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and reliably
Shift Pattern – Double Days
7. Week 1: Monday – Thursday 6:00am–4:30pm, Friday 6:00am–4:00pm
8. Week 2: Monday – Thursday 12:00pm–10:00pm, Friday off
This is a 44-hour contract with regular overtime available, paid at time and a half or double time. Many engineers choose to work additional shifts, significantly increasing their annual earnings.
About You
9. Level 3 qualified Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
10. Strong mechanical maintenance capability
11. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
12. Strong commitment to safety, reliability and quality
13. A proactive, hands-on engineer who works well as part of a team
