The newly integrated Community Vaccination Service is looking for a team player and experienced HCSW to deliver the school age vaccination


programme alongside the Covid vaccination delivery to housebound patients and care homes, also assisting the admin lead with delegated tasks.


Vaccinations are the safest and most effective way of protecting individuals and communities from vaccine preventable diseases. Community Vaccination Service allows for you to work as part of a team supporting and promoting the importance of vaccines who are


passionate to protect this age group and offering support to the Integrated Vaccination Service across the Trust.


One is 30 hours TTO at Linden Unit and one is for 30 hours at Kings Park Hospital TTO.


Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Administering selected vaccines in schools, at community clinics, in care homes and in patient homes.


Health promotion/Vaccine education


Community engagement.


Such as running reports, liaising with schools/service users, data collection.


Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Willing and able to apply existing experience and gain necessary skills to work effectively in the community, hospitals or other community settings, equivalent to a vocational level 3 qualification
Willing to professionally develop and undertake further development / training as identified to meet the needs of the service, including Trust Band 3 Extended Skills programme and Care Certificate.
Ability to work on own initiative, but with a commitment to participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice and further develop skills.
Personal Qualities/Attributes
Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively.

Business Travel
Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business. (working within the Community)

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
