Financial Controller – 6 Month FTC

Salary:to £50k
Our client, a successful SME business based in Grimsby, are seeking an experienced Financial Controllerto join on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Acting as the number two in finance, you will lead a small team while managing the business’s financial control, reporting and forecasting, while acting as a finance business partner to key stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
* Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
* Manage month-end and year-end close
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
* Act as a Business Partner to non-finance leaders to provide insight and support decision-making
* Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team
* Ensure robust controls and reconciliations are in place
About you:
* Part Qualified, Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
* Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
* Previous experience in project accounting is preferred but not essential
* Confident communicator, able to engage with all levels of the business
* Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in an SME setting
