Teaching Assistant
Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Didcot. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and other additional needs. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable; a genuine passion for working with children and a willingness to learn and adapt are key.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with ASC and related needs. Your role will be pivotal in creating a supportive, inclusive environment that fosters positive learning experiences and personal development for each child.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN setting
* Highly organised with excellent communication skills
* Passionate about supporting and inspiring children to reach their full potential
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
* Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, or similar conditions
* Knowledge of Makaton, sign language, or alternative communication methods is desirable but not essential
* A proactive attitude with a flexible and caring approach to supporting children's individual needs
