Main duties and responsibilities
Join De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Paramedicine. The successful candidate will predominantly support the delivery of education on paramedic, urgent, emergency, and unscheduled care to student paramedics/apprentices, as well as other undergraduate and post-registration health professionals. They will join a team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly staff and work collaboratively with colleagues across the School, Faculty and the wider University.

Role
* Two 0.8 opportunities available; seconded role considered. Post holders will predominantly support the delivery of education on paramedic, urgent, emergency, and unscheduled care to student paramedics/apprentices, as well as other undergraduate and post-registration health professionals.

Ideal Candidate
* Develop a career in teaching and learning; experience in sharing knowledge effectively with learners; commitment to high-quality service delivery.
* Practitioner registered with the HCPC or the NMC with experience in the field of emergency care or paramedicine.
* Will teach undergraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds and contribute to the assessment process (setting, marking, moderation) individually or as part of a module team, in accordance with quality assurance processes.
* Design and develop innovative, engaging learning materials and assessments; participate in curriculum development; draw on expertise in paramedicine and emergency care.
* Work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and other stakeholders; support students, supervisors and assessors in clinical placements and across care settings.
* Engage in scholarship, research and professional/external income generation activities that contribute to the University / School objectives and ensure up-to-date teaching.
Contract & Selection
0.6 (FTE) 2 year fixed term contract (job share and secondment opportunities will be considered, subject to line manager approval).
